Our humble monthly variety show has made it through an entire year! We are quite proud, and in honor we're bringing you the very best one yet! Featuring music by The Old Man and the Mountain and the Yellow Dress and a wide plethora of special guests, old favorites, and brand new faces here to bring you good times, comedy, discussions of time and the universe, science experiments, magic tricks, and anything else that you can possibly imagine. This is not to be missed (unless you enjoy missing things that are good).
Lessons in Adventureneering is the first Wednesday of every month, only at Dog Eared Books.
The mission of Dog Eared's monthly reading series is to present a group of writers who would normally never be found reading together. Isn't that kind of brilliant? This month we are thrilled to present:
Rose Tully
James Warner
Vauhini Vara
James Warner has placed stories in Ninth Letter, Agni Online, Night Train, and elsewhere. He blogs for Identity Theory at Everything Unfinished (http://www.identitytheory.com/jameswarner). His personal website is www.jameswarner.net
Rose Tully is a fiction writer, performer and storyteller, painter and maker of stencils for postal art and message art. Rose also leads creative writing labs for young men involved in the juvenile justice system. She is in the MFA creative writing program at San Francisco State.
Vauhini Vara is studying fiction as a Rona Jaffe Fellow at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop, on leave from her day job as a technology reporter at The Wall Street Journal. Her fiction has been published or is forthcoming in Glimmer Train, Black Warrior Review, and Epoch.

More fun than a barrel full of gay monkeys, Dog Eared is delighted to present a reading for all that gay stuff that happens at the end of June with:
